CHARLOTTE'S STORY

Based in Thorne, near Doncaster and handmade with love, Charlotte's Sweet Treats offers a delectable variety of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and much much more. ​

I have been baking since I was old enough to hold a wooden spoon and was taught by my late grandma.  During Covid in lockdown I started to watch YouTube videos and practice baking a variety of new products, had not tried before such as drip cakes.

After Covid when the restrictions eased we used to live in Warmsworth Doncaster, and I decide to host a charity bake sale to bring the community together and raise some money for Guide Dogs.

​

From my first bake sale, we continued to do a few more and I also raised money for charitable events at work and raised in total for all charities involved £3500. From this I was asked to do my first ever celebration cake and a wedding cake.

i really enjoy baking and seeing people enjoy what I make, it really helps my mental health. I have been told many times over the years to start up professionally, but I never had the confidence. So this year I thought why not, you only live once.
